Ever get to that point where you forget to write?

At work, we moved offices. I have my very own office! It's pretty plain but it's going to be lonely. Previously I had shared it with a coworker, who is way down the hall now. I need to liven the place up.

I'm still enjoying my job. This weekend will be the first time that the museum will be open. I'm really glad.

My two little kittens are growing. They are girl kitties with boy names. :-) I'm original with their names.

Life

Lately life has been about work and useless tv. This weekend was the holiday, so I had a day off. I spent it painting my room and watching tv. I don't think I even watched a movie, it seemed like it flew by and I was glad to go back to work.

I still don't have a love life. Is it normal for a 27 year old to be so single? Well, that's the shape I'm in.

I painted my room! Well, one wall atleast. It's a plum color and looks more grown up compared to the lavender that was on it. I ordered a duvet but it doesn't come in until March, so I'll eventually have my room ready by then.

A Sunday

Right now I'm just here with the kitties. I don't have any plans for today, well as of yet. My friends parents house burned down and I have some clothes for her mom, so maybe I'll get out later. I think that's the best thing about winter, you have time to relax but then it gets lonely sometimes. Last night was the loneliness night. I went to town that afternoon and got a pizza. Then I watched the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. That has to be the saddest movie ever. Usually I never cry during movies but it made me cry.

Revision

Guess what! I actually have plans for New Years Eve! My friends are renting a cabin, which looks more like log home! I never do anything for nye as you can tell!! I'll have to tell all of you lonely readers how the night went. Wish me luck. ;-)

New Years

I never liked New Years. It's kind of overrated, well in my book. I usually go to bed early and then eat black eyed peas the next day.

Stranger

I have no readers but I still post here. That sounds like the story of my life.

What's new with me? Hmm... let's see. My job is full time now! I'm really glad because it was very hard getting by on part time money, but some how some way, I did it.

My birthday is in a few days! I don't know why I should be excited. I wish I was receiving something shiny from a handsome man. I didn't say it had to be a diamond, it could be a shiny kitchen aid mixer!

Guess what happen to me! My hand mixer that my grandma had for probably 30 years died on me. How appropo. The poor mixer over heated when I was making sugar cookies. It was really sad for me. The mixer was like a part of my family.

Like I said, I have no love life. Why should I keep hoping that I will meet someone? This is my 27th Christmas without a boyfriend. That sounds like the perfect lifetime movie doesn't it? Sometimes I want someone and then there's times that I don't. I even confuse myself. I think I just get lonely.

I have all of my presents bought except for a few.

This Saturday we're going to Dallas to see the Neiman Marcus window. I'm not going to go to any after Christmas sales because I'm going to save my money for Dallas!

Starting Over

I haven't had any time to blog lately. Things have been really busy but not hectic.

My grandma got sick about a month ago and earlier this month she passed away. She had been in the hospital for three weeks. I'm glad that she's not still in the hospital or in a nursing home.

This blog is going to have a new meaning, probably. It will chronicle my life on my own. Yes, I have my own responsibilities and even more since she's not here.

I live with my uncle who come in and out but really has nothing to do around here. Hey, I'm telling the truth.

I have to get used to it. I know that my grandma would want me to take care of her house.

Yesterday my little cousins came over and helped me put up the tree. I think they decorated it even better than I could ever do it! Some how they didn't clump everything together but everything is even spread out. I told my cousins that they did a great job and that it would have been hard to put the tree up all by myself. The night before, the littlest one, Allie said that it must be sad to live here all by myself. I think little kids speak the truth.

Yesterday afternoon, my stepdad put the lights up on the house! I'm so excited. Yes, I know it's early but our house looks so nice. We're going to put more lights up later.

I'm the...

blogger that fell of the face of the blogosphere.

I've been busy with work, photography and life. How about that?

With work, we had a festival and an event for my department, so I'm worn out.

With photography, I had an art show exhibition last Monday and a competition on Thursday. At the competition I won 2nd and 3rd. It was just mere luck that the person who won 1st, won 1st.

As with life, my aunt from California is visiting us for a week. Tuesday she goes back home.

Lightning got my modem. :*-( I took my laptop to Circuit City last week to have them check it out. They ran diagnostics and found a lot of malware and they need to ship my pc off to get the modem checked out. Since I have no modem, no internet in my neck of the woods, yep, I *still* have dialup.

The Weekend

I never have big plans for the weekend, but lately, I've been busy! I think all of September will be busy. At the end of the month, we have the festival at work, then there's like a couple dozen birthday's (ok, I'm exaggerating!) It will be a busy time around here. Yes, I know I repeat my self quite often.

Friday night I went out. Yes, I know I had to work on Saturday. Saturday at my work is pretty slow, which is excellent. I went to hear a local band that I have seen two other times. One time it was here and the second was at the same place I went Friday. When I got there, I thought I was going to meet one of the guys who plays in the bands' girlfriends but she wasn't there. I wasn't so freaked, but then someone hollered at me. It turns out to be a girl that works at the school. I was relieved that I knew someone. Finally Kari showed up and then soon after that, the girls I first saw left. I hung out with Kari for the rest of the night. I still can't believe the guys still knew me. It's not like they're so famous that they forget who you are the next time you see them. To tell you the truth, I kind of have a thing for the guitar player. Who wouldn't? Right? He's just so cute. Now I'm embarrassing myself.

I also saw one of my old guy friends. He's newly single and moved back home. Don't be getting any ideas, he's almost like my brother. It's weird how you miss someone and so relieved that they're back. I try not to mention him to my family so often so they won't get the idea that I like him. You know what I mean.

I have no clue what I'm going to do for the rest of my remaining days off. I'll probably work on reorganizing my craft area of my room (it's a mess), embroidery, pics and then work on my quilt.

Today

Today we had a family dinner and then went to my work. I didn't have to work, but my some of my family have never been to my work. We had a great day. We finished up the day by making the girls lei's from Rose of Sharon flowers. They liked them.

You know what's weird, I came in DC 3 years ago last Thursday. It's bizarre, I tell you. It seems like I was just there! It's weird how times flies by. I miss that place, but also am glad that I'm here.

(un) News

I need to go shopping. I have tons of shirts that I don't wear, I think I'll just wash them and take them to the salvation army. Someone else will get good use with them. I also would like some shoes. What girl doesn't like shoes?

Life is great. I still like my job and the home-living-situation is still good. I'm car-less at the moment. Once again, my car has been in the shop. I only had it for a day before I had to take it back to the shop.

I've been busy with my crafts on my days off. I also got a new cellphone!

Another Rainy Day

I'm sitting here at the library. My car is still in the shop! I'm supposed to get it soon. It's been there for almost two weeks. I have a meeting at 11:00 am, so I rode to work with my mom. Fun times. So after I dropped her off, I went to a diner downtown and had a big country breakfast, minus the eggs. It was so good. I've been wanting a big breakfast ever since Saturday.

Everybody keeps asking if I like my job. It's been about a month and a half since I started there and I really enjoy it. I also really like the people I work with, they aren't, let's say like the people I used to work with.

I'm so happy with my new bookcase! It has all of my craft stuff plus some of my knick knacks (sp). I'll have to post a picture of it soon!

I'm thinking about what I need, shopping wise. I want a new tv, probably a flat screen that doesn't have to be huge and a new purse. What I probably need to do is pay my bills first. Where's Suze Orzman when you need her?

Excitement

My parents got a new tv! It's like a 45 inch hdtv. It's amazing. At first my eyes had to get used to it, for some reason I have to sit in front of it instead of on the side. Yeah, I know I'm weird. We watched the baseball and olympics last night and it was cool to watch it on such a big television! I want to get one for myself. Would anyone be willing to buy me one? :-D j/k

Tuesday

Lately it's been raining. I think it's probably in the lower 70's right now. It's the perfect weather for August. I think it's supposed to last for a couple of days. There's been plenty of August's that's been in the 100+'s. That's just too uncomfortable for me.

I bought some craft boxes yesterday at walmart. I had been looking for some online and went ahead and bought those that I saw even though they are white. I painted them black. I hope that they will actually work and I wasn't wasting my time. I'm hoping to buy some black magazine files for my room. Atleast I'm looking to get my room organized. I've found a book shelf, now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with my ribbon.

The garden is still looking good and that's why I'm thankful for all the rain that we've had. Atleast I haven't had to water the garden in a few days.

I bought an Amy Butler pattern for a bag and some of her material. Let's hope that it will turn out. I wish I had my own sewing machine. My mom has one, but I need my own.
